Default Portrait Post Processing Techniques?

I've been working with portraits a lot more lately and was looking for some tutorials to help with the post processing. I don't want to over post process like in advertisements, but just things to really bring out the details and such in photos. Here's a great example of the kind of thing I'm looking to achieve: Katy | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Any tips/links to tutorials would be greatly appreciated!

I think what makes this portrait is the lighting and the DOF. I don't see a lot of PP. Maybe Levels, or Curve Tool for a little contrast, some skin softening, a little work on the eyes to make them "pop" a bit, and a little sharpening. The WB is on the warm side, but I don't know if that was on camera or on PP.

I posted a tutorial here for selective sharpening (as in the eyes and lips/mouth) and by reversing one of the steps you can also use it for skin softening. If you are interested I can point you to the link.
