Unhappy help me with this editing..

i hav done tons of searching but i still cant figure out how they edit pics like this..



the models hav some glossy shiny kinda oily surface.. its like the models hav been painted..
please somebody help me out with this.. plz..plz..plz...

I don't think it's really about editing. I think they just have an amazing lighting setup and a brilliant understanding of how to use it.

That, and an amazing makeup artist. Sure, there is some post processing done, but as the saying goes...you can't polish a turd.

They are both well lit, but the second shot is most certainly about the editing.

Leviathan, google terms like "high end glamor retouch", "high end beauty retouch", "split frequency retouch", etc. Getting that kind of glamor effect in post is time consuming and takes practice.

thankyou all for replying..
@Rentham the key words will definitely help.. are ther any other key words that i amy need for portrait retouching... i hav lots of tutorials.. but nothing teach how to actually get such clear glossy skin.. and can i hav some tutorial how on dodge and burn technique.. i can clear a face with that technique but i cant reshape it.. any tutorials on that..

You will probably find theres a lot of dodging and burning done to the image to even out the lighting, and also what some people call sculpting with is another dodging and burning method but to add shape it can be used to great effect to add the sheen, you will be suprised as well how well painting white over lighter areas with a lower opacity can make skin look shiney.

The above images though have received a lot of editing.

The modelmayhem forums have a lot of threads about retouching may mean trawling through but theres links to some tutorials as well.
