will take some doing, alot of doing, Genuine Fractals is a photoshop plug-in that can be used to enlarge the image without to much pixelization (sp), from there you'll need to do extensive retouching, cloning, brushing, layering and masking in photoshop...

I think Akvis has a plugin for photoshop that help do that, they might have a free trial.

yes, i think fractals can do the enlarging bit but the retouching will depend on your skill in photoshop.

if you don't have fractals, try enlarging the image size in photoshop in small increments like 3 to 5 pixels till you reach about 1.3MB which is still small but is an improvement of your posted image. but if you can scan or rephotograph it in a larger resolution size, would be better than enlarging it in fractals.

sample of what can be done, that can still be improved with a larger file and more 'patience' plugin

Now this could be a great competition / assignment here

I hope more people put their own take on this as it would be great to see what people can and will do.

your latest scanned image is much better. it is 13.5MB when opened in cs2
the first scan was only 1.02MB including the white space to the right.
