Default applying copywrite name to photo's

Does anyone have a suggestion of how to apply a copy write name to your photo's, without using Photoshop? I don't want to have to import photo's into another program to do it. I just want to be able to OPEN the photo, apply some text and be done with it. Any program suggestions suggestions?

Thanks much,

I believe the software that came with your camera will allow you to add text to your picture. Disadvantage to that is that you have to do it to each picture.

I use LightRoom 3 and you can boiler plate it to all your pics.

Hope this helps!

There are a few stand alone programs for watermarking, but I can't recall any of them off the top of my head. I think they have even been mentioned in a few threads on here.

If the program you are currently using doesn't do it, then you have no option but to open the photo in another, so I'm not sure what the real question is.

Got it figured out. PREVIEW application on a MAC does it, learned something new today!! What my question was Jim, was how to do it without having to IMPORT to another program, do the edit, then have to export it back to iphoto. I was trying to eliminate one step, which I have done now... thanks for the help folks!!!

Preview will let you watermark photos? That's a new one on me. How? Where?

Ah, I figured it out. Primitive, but it works. You do realize however, that you're importing / opening them in a program still?

Jim... please... lets not get silly here. I was looking for an easier way to do it, not that I didn't comprehend that I was "importing/opening them in a program still".

Well, the one thing you said over and over is that you didn't want to import / open them in a separate program, but that's exactly what the "solution" you came up with is doing.

Hey, if it works for you, GREAT, but you didn't achieve your originally stated goal.
