Any chance in someone providing a "from camera to editing to print" link or their own workflow?Whether it's for home or 3rd party printing?

thanks.

Can I post general sites for review? There are to many individual tutorials to list.

Directory website for tutorials
Video Tutorial website

The last one is my own website, as a disclaimer! But I have a lot of useful videos on there. For example: Simulating depth of field.

This is the first one I came across. Many more to chose from.

Lightbulb Printing - Color Matching/Profiling

Once an image I've edited looks the way I want it (or should I say, as best as I can get it), I'm eager to print a proof. Problem is, they way an image looks on my LCD monitor and the way it looks on photo paper are much different. Typically, the print turns out a tad darker and the colors appear somewhat richer, and although it really does look nice, the visual difference typically result in certain mid-tone and shadow details being lost.

Getting to my question, allow me to preface by mentioning "I am a rookie, and though I catch on very fast and well, I may come back for further clarification on some finer points."

And the question is, how do I get my monitor and printer colors to match? I have dabbled in Adobe PS CS2 preferences and MS Windows OS configuration settings, but more so just for familiarization and I haven't yet figured anything out.

I'm hoping there's a solution that doesn't require purchasing hardware, even if that means I blow a few test prints during calibration.

Thanks in advance for any insight anyone can offer!

Pepperfly: Try a search for "monitor calibration" without the quotes on the forums. That should get you started. There are approximately 20 results which should help you find your answer

This would be a great tutorial to assemble. I am still getting the knack of how people best enjoy delivery, but it seems to be a mix of thoughts between video, and written with screenshots included. I've done most of my stuff on video (and just did a new one today on a faded antique technique for use in CS2 specifically - Scott Kelby covered teh CS3/LR technique on www.photoshopusertv.com) I really like this effect.

What platform are you using? How would you categorize your shooting preferences (landscapes, portrait, architecture, street photography, etc.)? Are you on Windows or a Mac? Lots of things to consider, so let me know what works best for you and I'll see if I can share my work flow on the equivalent. In the meantime, if you'd be interested in specific techniques, check out the blog where I host my tutorials at www.canonblogger.com

I was pleasantly surprised to look on You Tube and do a few searches and there are some really great tutorials on there for just about any post processing program you can think of.

Wow- great compilation! Made me wonder, though. Are most of the tutorials online in video form? I'm looking for tutorials for photoshop element that are in text form, or at least videos that are subtitiled. I'm deaf, so unsubtitled videos are not very helpful .

Thanks!
