Not being ungreatful But I didnt see any for Paint shop is there anything for it or should I just find Photo shop for vista? I am trying to use Paint shop pro photo XI it is tuff to find help for this thing people. should I just give in to the photo shop conglomerant heheh

Well if you have the links, feel free to post them I myself don't use paintshop, but if I get a chance I'll have a look and see what I can find. I'd think that most of the photoshop tutorials would be translatable?

Default GIMP Tutorials
Hi Nicole --

A while back you and I had an exchange about GIMP tutorials, and I think I was going to pass some links along to you, which I never did.

Your recent additions to the sticky jogged my memory. Here are some of the ones I use most, in no particular order. Most of these are from gimpguru.org,
which is a good resource; there is also a large clearing-house type site (look for the "Select Category" drop menu on right and pick the photo ones) here.

Toning BW images (a good one)

Contrast mask/Tone Mapping

Orton Effect and Another one

Digital Neutral Density Filter (another good one -- learned how to use masks and gradients here)

Exposure Blending

Lomo Effect (found this disappointing compared to PS versions)

Black and white conversion (another good one)

Selective Colorization

Local Contrast Enhancement


The two "script-fus" (GIMP for action) I find indispensable are Smart Sharpening Redux (what it sounds like -- really works well) and GreyCstoration (for noise removal). Get them here.

All i do now is convert them for PSP XI it works just the same specially since PSP has close to all the features PS has and then some..
