Post Photography Workflow Software for Linux User

When one talks about PP, its either Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom or Aperture which comes to one's mind. Though I'm a linux user & so in search of a native photo management software which matches or comes close to lightroom. GIMP is more like photoshop & I'm still at basic level with GIMP. I would like a software which manages workflow in linux. Any photographers here using linux?

You probably want to look at digiKam which is probably the most advanced project in this domain. Add a few RAW converters and you're set.

Alternatively there's some commercial software such as Bibble which is also available. Although their current version isn't "quite there yet".

I read a thread a while back and they mentioned shotwell and fspot for photo management in linux. But thats just photomanagement thoug you could probably open in an external editor.

I am still developing my own workflow but I have used Rawtherapee and then either saved as a Tif or it will directly output to Gimp. Rawtherapee will also do batch processing as will gimp to setup your contact sheets etc from Raw. Gimp even has a plugin for it under Filters->Batch->Contact Sheet

I would be interested in what workflow you finally settle on. This part is very much a work in progress for me.
