While working in Lightroom I will find the perfect balance, using the various Noise Reduction settings. However, once I go to export the image, and open the jpg file, the image does not look the same. It has nothing to do with the color... for some reason my jpg image does not have the same smoothness that I was able to achieve while working in Lightroom. Has anyone come across this problem, and know how to fix this?
Thank you in advance! ~Christina

Thank you for the quick reply. However, it appears this is not the problem.
I did notice something new. When I am in the Development tab & I zoom in on the subject, (with the applied noise reduction) it appears smooth. Then, without zooming out, I click on the Library tab (as though I was about to export the image). As soon as I click on the Library tab, I notice my subject goes back to being sharp. It is almost as if the noise reduction settings I have applied, are erased. Very strange! Can anyone tell me what might be the problem?

I thought visuals might help explain what I am experiencing. I am using Lightroom 3.0:
Here is the image with noise reduction applied (I bumped it way up to get the point across) ![]() And here is what happens to the image once I click on Library (as if I was going to export the image from Lightroom) ![]() It appears as though my noise reduction changes have been reset.
