![]() Hey, sorry for probably too big image here. Im interested in how to, create this style of photo. Particularry looking for tutorial for this white (or whity) tint, it soft hope you see what i mean. Everything else I understand. Theres added contrast and vibrance/saturation. Please help. I cannot name this style, the white tint, you can look at other photos of jaimeibarra on deviantART he has almost in every photo that tint. I dont know how to name it, maybe its something else. If I could I would probably find a tutorial for that. Thank you in advance, been viewing this forum alot, dps is known to me for years, and this is the first time I come for help. Best regards: Brucato |

Hi Brucato:
The face has obviously been enhanced. The eyes are bizarrely large and “bright.” While the freckles are still there, the face looks plastic to me. This is probably done in several programs, Photoshop and a portrait program. The photo has been layered. You can plunk in a colorful background and work that with “gaussian blur” filter in Photoshop. I have no idea what you mean by “whity tint.” Those white spots in the background are probably lights but they could also be a luminous collage of color. You could put down the colors that you see, enhance as desired, blur them and use as a layered background in one of your own photos. Lumico |

Brucato, I see what you're talking about. Almost a milky haze over the photo.
It looks like maybe they compressed the color pallet a small amount using levels, and then brought up the dark areas some using the highlight/shadows command in PS? Just a guess as I've never tried to get that effect before. Regards. |

there are multiple ways to do this using gradient filters at different opacities and different colours. deviant art is rich in 'free' actions you can run right into PS and use... as for that milky-vintage tint, use the exposure preset layer and use the 'offset' slider. literally everyone who uses this treatment effect will have different ways of doing it.

to do it add a color over the image, like a soft yellow and (in photoshop ) and then set opacity to like 25%. You can play around with the layer modes as well. It looks like there are probably some other adjustments on that particular photo, probably some color balancing, but this is the haze.
A quick example:
