I'm new at this too so don't take this as the only way (or even the best way) to do it but if you import them into Lightroom you can export them as JPEG and it really is simple to do (it must be if I've managed it!!).

What software are you using? The software that came with your camera can do it.

I'm poor so I just use Picasa. Basically you just open the file and export it as a jpeg.

After editing or viewing the file, you should be able to save the file as a jpg using the "file" in the left top corner and then "save as", then when popup box ask for the name you want to save as, you can also save it as a different format.

Let us know what software your using. It be easier for us to explain, once we know.

Most camera software, comes with its own raw software. (digital photo professional)
And you can save/export the photo, into a JPG photo that way.

In mine - you go to the raw photo. Click upper left under FILE, then scroll down to CONVERT AND SAVE....................thats it

If your camera can capture RAW, then it should have the software disk to handle it.
That is why it is so important to have the original software disks included with the camera when buying used / second hand items on eBay or other stores.
