I have four pictures that have been accepted in a judged photo contest. For the next round they want the pictures at 11 X 14 mounted with no matting or frames. Does this mean I simply attach the photo's to 11 X 14 matboard and if so, with what?
Thanks for any suggestions.

I learned a long time ago (back in college in 1972) the value of mounting photos. They last longer and they don't warp or wrinkle when framed.
So you have a few options: spray mount, which is just a spray adhesive you apply to the photo and then press to it a mount backing; dry mounting which at this time you need to be done professionally (I often use Aaron Brothers -- but you have to ask specifically for mat mount because they default to form-core); or order prints from MPIX mounted (it is an option when you order prints -- and I have often used it with wonderful results). I personally would not recommend using a spray adhesive. It can be messy and result in ruining a print. I would go the professional route and personally would recommend ordering a print from MPIX mounted. I've ordered mounted prints from them many times and I have never been disappointed. I will also say that with MPIX the turn-around time for mounted prints has been exceptional -- I live in the San Francisco Bay area and I get my orders delivered within 5 days. Also, when the contest says mounted you need to get some clarification from them -- do they want mat mounting or foam-core? There is a difference.

You can definitely dry mount photos yourself. Go to your local arts supply store and tell them what you need to do, they'll set you right up.
