Question How to get this effect??

Does anybody know how to get that shiney almost glassy looking effect that Jill greenberg and a few others I have seen use. I tried blur and a bunch of filters with overlays but cant seem to get it.
Thanks everybody

I wouldn't be using any blur effects; these images are razor sharp. Part of this is due to rather contrasty lighting and part of it is a LOT of burning and dodging.

Lighting is the biggest part of it. Without the right lighting, you can't get the contrasting tones you want. Pretty sure she uses a ringflash. Another is the PP and lots of sharpening techniques. Dodge and burn is certainly a part as well.

I would guess some type of HDR type PP tool was involved somewhere.
