Default HELP with converting to sRGB please...

My pics look fine on my computer but look really bad on the web. I have realized that this is due to them being in Adobe RGB color profile instead of sRGB, so I have been converting them. There has got to be an easier way to do this...

I shoot in RAW and import my pictures in to iphoto on my mac. I make minor adjustments and then open them individually to edit them in Photoshop. I convert them to sRGB before uploading them to my website or online. Sometimes, like for snapshots of my kids, I just want to upload a bunch of them to a web album and don't want to open each and every one in Photoshop to convert it to sRGB.

I have read online about this "Scriptable Image Processing System," or SIPS on my mac. Here is a link to what I was reading.

Michael Kratz » Converting Adobe RGB colour space to sRGB

but I can't seem to find this SIPS on my computer. Any help with a quick way to batch convert my pics would be SO APPRECIATED, thanks!

The raw convertor should be able to set the profile for you when it converts the files to tiff or jpg.

Another option is to create a simple action in PS and use that batch process the files. I would include a resize, resharpen, assign profile and save as jpg or save for web in the action. Then use PS to process a folder.

I only have PSE 8, so I can't create actions.

if you work is going to end up in sRGB then why not use sRGB as your colour working space so no vonversions are needed?

I do set my camera to sRGB, but I shoot in RAW and iphoto does not apply this color space automatically.

Also, as Peeperita said, a lot of my images are for clients and are to be printed, and I don't have to convert them. But for the snapshots of my kids, I upload them to the web for family to see, and I hate when they look all grey and yucky. When I remember, I try to change the settings off of RAW so the correct color space is applied, but I usually forget. I really just want to know how to convert them all at once.

I will try that link that was mentioned, but I tried it last night and couldn't get it to work. Anyone heard of SIPS?
