Ok, not post processing so much as how do I get files up to a fan page. I decided to create a FB fan page. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to upload pics from Lightroom to my fan page. I can upload them just fine to my personal page. I am trying to upload but after chugging away for a while, if I'm lucky, I get a, "Failed to Upload," message. I'm guessing because the file(s) is(are) too large but I don't know.
Anyone here have experience with this? Is there a way to use the FB plugin for Lightroom export to a fan page? Thanks. |

I don't have an answer to your question, but flickr has a LR group. They may be able to answer you. Or for that matter, Adobe site should steer you in the right direction.
So no answer, but 2 options. Do I get 2 for 3 on that?

Darn! Not finding anything on the Adobe site or their FB fan page...
Seems like the export plugin can only export to your personal page. I really don't want to add (yet) another step to my pp to make the file sizes smaller so I can then upload them... |

So how can I do this easier? How are others doing it?

Just do it through facebook -- export the file as a JPEG from Lightroom, and upload it from Facebook's own interface.

I have found a round-about way of doing it. I use the Flickr Publish plugin in Lightroom 3 (there is also an export plugin for older versions) to upload to my Flickr account, then I use the "Flickr Tab" facebook app to link to my Flickr account. It's the only app I've found that works with fan pages. The downside is that you have to upgrade to the $10 per year pro version to use it with fan pages.

Just a word of advice for sharing photos (uploading) on Facebook: be careful, when you upload your photos to FB, you are granting a license of your work to FB for them to use it as their own, check my comments on this thread:
Facebook Page So, I decided to stoped to upload/share any of my photography work on that social network site, even with the flickr photostream (flickr tab app). I only share-upload some snapshots of me and my familiy or some photos I made with my cellular phone, not my photo work anymore. Be careful!

Supposedly this program can post directly to fan pages but it requires the MAC OS.
Reinvented Software - Poster for Mac OS X - Post Photos and Videos to the Web I have not tried it to ensure so Good luck. |
