Photographing People studio

I just found out today, that today at 7PM GMT, MediaMarkt (an European electronics store)
in partnership with Canon are giving a photography workshop.

We will take our cameras, whatever they are, and at the end we will be taking photos of a model in a studio.

the 3 best photographs will win a Canon EOS 500D + 18-55mm IS

I never shot any one in a studio, the closest thing i've done so far was photograph kittens against a white background.

So do any one have any last hour winning tip? heheh
