Hey guys! Everyone has always been so helpful and I'm hoping that is true this time around.
I've been asked to take a family portrait of my sister's co-worker & her fam. She is really nice so I'm excited to do this! She's not picky, just wants something simple to send out in her X-Mas cards. Right now we are planning on going to a nice hotel in the area and using a decorated X-mas tree or any of the nice decorated areas as the background. (You know how hotels usually decorate during the holidays.) I don't have access to a studio or anything. Do you have any ideas on the portrait? How I should arrange them? It would be the co-worker, her husband, and 2 sons, 17 and 11 years old. Also any ideas on outside backdrops would help.

well i would try to get to know their individual personalities and show them in the photos. Also try to show their interaction with each other have one of the boys hug their mom or something to show the "family" instead of just four people. An Idea for some props would be have them all wear Santa hats or jingle bells but do it for all of them not just one of them.
Hope this helps

How creative do you wan to be??
You could have the 2 adults in a large christmas bulb with the 2 childrens portraits in smaller bulbs on a tree right behind them
