Default Patterned shadows

I was using a parasol for this shoot and I liked the way it left patterned shadows on her and took the shot. I know generally shadows like this are to be avoided so I wanted to know if looks bad and should scrap it or if it works for this picture.

Shutter 1/400
F-stop 2.8
ISO 100

Default Nice..

Nice pic..

Line Composition: Vertical line does not stand alone without horizontal line. Tilt the camera a bit make it diagonal? Diagonal line can stands alone. Any justification why it is vertical line?

Constrast Composition: Bright subject with dark background,, sharp vs blur .. great

Texture: The shadow pattern is great, a bit out of focus causing it blur causing a bit "annoying"???>.?? Edit the pic to show better tone constrast between the skin and pattern?

I believe this is not the usual portrait length...

Great pics..Just ignore my comment if they are ignoring. I am using how to comment pic from what I have learned from Michael Freeman..'s book

Personally I really like the shadow pattern. As another commenter mentioned, the floral pattern gives it a pretty, feminine feel and I think it works very well with this picture.

Great job!!
