Default Help with Backdrop Shadowing

What a great place for people in our community to help each other.
I always seem to have trouble with shadowing on my backdrop.

I will be grateful for any suggestions

You might want to take a look at how to post a photo and read the guidelines for the critique section. Then we can better help you out. Welcome to DPS!

I'm not sure what you mean by "shadowing". If anything, you have a light problem. I see a lot of random hard light hitting the backdrop but no shadows. If you do have shadows from your subject on the backdrop, move them away from it. I prefer to have them at least 6 feet away. Then I can light my subject and backdrop separately to achieve the look I want.

The backgrounds I use for full length images are 10 feet wide by 20 feet long. I attach the top of the background about 8 feet off of the floor and bring the backdrop out from the wall in an elongated "C" rather than a sharp "L" that way there is no shadow where the floor meets the wall. Then I place the subject about six or eight feet out from the back wall and centered in the background. Doing these two things should remove any shadows, but if not or if you want a brighter background a small light positioned directly behind the subject and aimed at the background metered the same as the fill light will erase any shadows that may creep in.
