Hi there, I just bought this camera and since I'm stuck inside, I have been playing with low light settings. I'm sure there are easier ways to start, but here goes. I wasn't sure where to post this because I did edit with Photoshop Elements Camera Raw. I decided to take a little color out since the BW was too soft and not as dramatic as I was hoping. I also added a little shadowing. I hope not too much. SO, please comment on both the composition and editing, or anything else you wish.

Camera: Canon XTI
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/15
F-stop: 5.6
Focal Length: 135mm
Flash: Did not fire

I just love to see them so peaceful in sleep! I like the shadowing and I was going to suggest a setting like High contrast black and white..this gives a much more DRAMATIC feel rather than the typical black and white.

I made some changes and would love more feedback. My eyes are quite untrained and my husband would admit that everything looks great. I tried the BW route and it just didn't look right. The shadows were not as intense as I would have liked. Thanks in advance.

I took a stab at playing with a high-contrast black and white conversion. If you'd rather I take it down, just say so and I will right away.

If you like the look, I can let you know what I did.

Adorable photo....I have gazillions of pics of my kids sleeping.

Wow, nice. I do like it. I have PSE and it was shot in RAW.
