Default Is this post processing?

I really love the flare effect taken with the dreamy dreamy feeling (as the following picture). May I know are these post processing or photography skill? I have tried many many times with my Nikon D7000, but never gotten this effect. I was informed only Canon can taken this effect. Can anyone help on this?

LOL..who on earth told you that???

Anyway...it can be done with any camera, including yours. You just need to backlight your subject - i.e., have the sun behind your subject. The "dreamy" effect is just haze from shooting into the sun, and the red circles in the foreground/bottom right corner are sunflare. Also, if you use a lens hood, take it off to get this effect.

You can use a reflector to put some light onto your subject as well, so he/she is not lost in the shadows.
