Shooting (for the) Moon

Ok, supposed to be a great full moon tonight. Was going to give it a shot and see if I could get a few shots since I'll be up and about tonight. However, not sure how to go about doing it...

Obviously, I can't use auto-focus. However, when I've tried to manually focus in the dark like that, I never get it quite right. The moon is, well, it's FAR away so do I just set the focus at infinity, set exposure, point and shoot away?

Basically, looking for tips.

Well, we were clouded over last night so no chance at any moon shots. Should be clear tonight so I may give it a shot even though it's not full anymore. Close enough...
