    Hey there, ran into your thread about getting the canon 50d, sorry man, but I have a word of advice for you, the canon 40D is an excellent camera, and you will get better image quality out of it than your rebel, and it will actually take photos with less noise than the 50d will. Reason being the 50d have the same size image sensor, but 50% more megapixals, so its craming them in creating pictures with alot of digital noise, and I have experienced it first hand. Id recommend, considering your situation w the moolah and the pops and the recession bit, getting the canon 40D, and its alot cheaper but takes (imo) better pictures. Or save for a couple years and splurge for a mark 2 (: anyways I had a looksee at your flickr, great work (:

    I'll say something about that 75-300 lens.

    I like it as well. It got me some great soccer shots.
