Hi, Kimi; At the risk of looking like a show off, I thought I'd give you the links to my last two astrophotography threads. Seeing as how you've enjoyed the others so much, I wanted to make sure you saw these ones, too.

Hope you have a great day Rob oh and thanks for the story, not only did i have a picture in my mind of it all but made me smile to think of it. Kimi

    Talk about silly...
We went to go watch fireworks last night, even though it was calling for rain. We were about an hour and a half early (wanted to get a good parking spot). So to kill time we walked over to a nearby park. Just as we got there it started to rain. Not really bad but steady. The kids (nor my wife and I, really) could have cared less. After about 3/4 of an hour we were all soaked and laughing and figured we'd better get home because they obviously weren't going to be setting off the fireworks... much to the dismay of my daughter. Well, wouldn't you know it: we found out later that the weather had cleared just in time and they did set them off. But, as I mentioned before I'll be able to take my daughter to the Stampede grounds when they shut the place down at Midnight and set off some fireworks. Just had to share... figured you'd get a kick out of it. It actually brought our previous conversation to mind. Pure silliness... playin' in the rain.

I admit that maybe my comment wasn't the most polite, but at least I didn't accuse her of shooting porn nor did I say I'd throw something at her. All I said was that it looked cheesy.

Makes me wonder... harrysixtie7... 67? Is that his age or IQ??? Certainly comes across as the kind of guy who'd sit on his front porch at Halloween just so he could tell the kids to, "Piss off!! No Halloween here!" *excuse the language*

Wow! Throw it back in her face?!? I think a polite, "I'm sorry, but that's not really what I was looking for" would be a lot more appropriate. And a hell of a lot less likely that the photographer will tell you to take a long walk off a short pier. But then again, that's just me. Oh, and a nebula is a large cloud of dust and gas. I'd say it's more of a star or super nova. (Ok, now I'm just nit-picking. *ha!*)

I can only laugh at this comment back to harrysixtie7... actually you had me laughing for a good, one and a half minutes lol and still giggling. some people are tooo serious! thanks for the laugh Rob

Hello, Kimi... my new sweltering hot Alabama friend. Don't worry... I'm pretty sure if you looked close enough at my birth certificate, you'd see my real middle name was "King-of-the-silly-moods". Ok, maybe not that long but definately a version of that. I can also sit on a pale of ice cream and tell ya what flavour it is... now that's a SMARTASS.

I'm in Calgary, Alberta... western Canada. Tomorrow is our version of your Independence Day... Canada Day (I know... how original *ha, ha*). Looking forward to trying to take some pictures of the fireworks tomorrow night. And, if not then, I've got a whole week's worth of fireworks to try for. Because, the (world?) famous Calgary Stampede starts on Friday and every night, when the grounds close for the evening, they set off fireworks, too.

Take care and always keep being silly... serious is waaaaaay too boring.
