We live in the same town. Welcome to Colorado.

The balloonfest here in the Springs is pretty cool. Not as big as Albuquerque but very cool to photograph. We did the early morning launch and the glow at night. We're going to camp out by the lake/pond this year to see them dip the baskets in. Let us know if you want to head out there together.

I am located in Denver...and you? What Balloon Festival are you referring too? I would love to shoot one....they look so beautiful up against a clear Colorado blue sky.

Yeah I used my tripod a few times but had better luck just holding it LOL. Guess I was just lucky. But the ones you posted look terrific!

Did you put your camera on burst mode an hold the shutter down while you spin the lens?? The 2nd or 3rd shot will turn out the best because your hand is steadily holding the button down and not shaking the camera.
