    Hey, I read your post on the 50D or T1i? thread and thought it really great, I actually read through it all, even though it may not really apply to me. I'm just I don't speak only for myself when I say I appreciate your contributions to this forum.

    p.s. your avatar picture is also pretty cool, just saw the bigger version on your messages wall. pretty cool

    dizwold: I've got a set up on Flickr that I'll hopefully add to when I've got the time. Flickr's also got a half dozen or so fountain pen groups, with some more dedicated pen photographers.

    Thank you for the tips! "flash" white balance is probably the only one I have not experimented with, can't wait to give it a try! I will post my success story!

    I just viewed some of your bird work on a lens selection recommendation. Great work. I'm pretty new to high end photography and really love the birds and wildlife. I'm thinking about getting a new lens before too long. First my wife's birthday and maybe then I can fund it. Thanks for the lens advice.

    Yeah, I like this particular little planet because I won a workplace photo competition with it. It was mostly cheating, though, because this is the campus for corporate headquarters, so naturally it had a leg up over other peoples' vacation snaps.

    for the last year that i've bene on DPS i thought your avatar was some sort of studio light with barn doors taken with a fish eye lens... while pointed up at the sky.

    i only now realise its oene of those planetoid jobbies.
