    Smile Dogwood

The camera I used to take this shot was not very good, so I used Photoshop to boost the saturation and exposure. I also warmed up the light a little bit to compensate for poor weather. I don't want it to look over-processed, I just want it too look natural. Did I overdo it with photoshop? What would you have done differently with the shot?

    shutter: 1/320 sec
    Aperture: f/3.1
    ISO: 64
unfortunately that's all the information this tiny little camera provides

It doesn't scream photoshopped, but you might be able to tell. Anyways, I think it looks very nice and wouldn't change the photoshopping.

The appearance of excessive post processing is lacking--this is GOOD! Like WolfHeart said, no need to change PP.
However, my one critique is the composition. Here is a centered composition, which isn't very interesting to me. I would have preferred to see the flower in a different area of the frame. Maybe using the rule of thirds, or putting some other interesting compositional twist on it. If you aren't familiar with the rule of thirds, you should certainly familiarize yourself with it. It's not an unbreakable rule, but composition-wise it can help photos quite a bit.
    Nice work, and keep shooting!

Agree with the others- doesn't look overcooked to me. One thing I would do is crop out the other flower also in focus on the far right.

Without cutting off part of the subject, I'm not sure this is possible without complicated cloning and whatnot. But I agree, it is a distracting object. Not terrible though.

Agreeing with everyone + the bright spots or sky top center and top left would get clonned with the foliage if it was mine.

Cropping it some from the bottom right would eliminate the "in focus flower" & change the compositon "off center thing".

Blur the background some more & you've got a more interesting image. TFS!

Nice job. I was out this afternoon & shot some dogwood -- I'll have to see if I've got any keepers once I import, but I know for sure I didn't get anything this colorful -- they're all white around here! I think this ended up looking pretty nice.
