Default Wireless Flash Trigger Question

Hi Guys,

Quick question on wirelessly triggering a studio strobe AND a flash ...

I'm researching wireless flash triggers, and I'm a bit confused.

I work with 2 cameras, a canon G9, and an Olympus E1. I also have a Alien Bee Strobe, and a Canon 580ex. I'd like to trigger both lights wirelessly. I understand that I'll need one transmitter and 2 receivers. My question is... do receivers work with both Strobes and Flashes? My 580ex has a PC input, where the Alien Bee has a small "jack" input.

I'd like to try the inexpensive triggers like from Gadget Infinity, or Cowboy, but am confused on what to order. Can anyone shed some light on the subject?

Thank you.

Joe

I have cactus v4's from, gadget infinity. They trigger strobes and speed lights. It comes with like 3 adapter cables.

Since you have Bs be sure and consider the RadioPopper JrXs. You can control the light output of your Bs from off to full power remotely from the transmitter. They are not all that expensive either. I use them for firing both studio & portable flash.
