i have been a photographer for about 2 years now and im interested in doing studio work in the near future. This is also the first time I am using this forum so im not quiet used to it. Can someone direct me to another part of the forum that concerns studio work (mainly lighting, backdrop and other equipment) or other really good resources such as books or web pages. And pictures will be awesome of studios if you have any.
Thank you Daniel |

you got the right sub-area for studio stuff/lighting
in terms of what equipment.. it all hinges on what sort of photography you do. portraits, large products, small products,? i gues a good place to start is Strobist to get you started.. off camera light. |

For a basic-principles-of-lighting book, Light: Science and Magic is probably your best bet.
For one basic studio setup, take a look at Zack Arias's white seamless tutorial. I'd also recommend spelunking about in the Flickr Strobist group discussions. |
