Default Show me your LED

Will someone please take a picture of your LED light? I don't have alot of money to spend on extra lighting and I really want to try this one. Thank you!

How will having a picture of an LED light help save you money?

Any regular LED flashlight, reading light, strip LED light. I'm thinking that you are thinking this is some expensive lighting setup, which is why you asked. From what I've seen, most people are just using LED flashlights. Hope that helps.

Thank you Power Pix. That does help! I just wasn't sure if an LED light was as easy as a flashlight or light strip like you stated.

What type of photography do you want to do with LEDs? LEDs don't really produce that much light, they are tend to be very directional and harsh, also color balance can be an issue.

To give you an idea here is a LED light designed with photography in mind.
VariZoom | S-2010C Dimmable On Camera Light - LED, | VZ-S2010C

40 watts of luminence at that outragous price. You can buy a alien bee stobe unit for about the same if not less that would walk circles around this thing and not even break a sweat.

However, you can achieve very fun effects even with cheap LEDs. Here's an example I made: The Council of Dave, made with a single long exposure and one cheap LED flashlight. It's not a strobe or anything, just a normal flashlight.

I love LEDs, they are fun, handy and long lasting on batteries... I currently have x5 Stanley LED Flashlights and one LED worklight.

Like everything in photography, they have their uses and their places... Don't forget, with art/photography thinking outside the box is always a plus!
