I recently purchased an off camera AC Monolight kit. Sync is by radio. It has been working great but all of a sudden I started getting images where half of the image is blacked out. Usually the bottom. Sometimes the entire shot is black even though I have 2 200 watt/second strobes at full power. Settings are 1/125 at f6.1
It is driving me nuts. Any advice. Eric |

If it were only a part of the image all the time, I'd suspect a flash sync speed issue. 1/125 should be fine though. Mind posting examples with EXIF?

have you charged the battery in the radio transmitter and receiver?
a few weeks back i had a similar incident where all my shots AT max sync had a slightly dark haze on the bottom edge.. my presumption was that it was one of the shutter curtains in the way due to poor syncing. i changed the bettery in the transmitter and its all fine now. i'm willing to bet you need new batteries

Actually after messing with it for another 200-300 shots I think I figured it out. I don't quite no how it causes it but the problem only occurs when I shoot using a wireless radio trigger for the camera and for the strobes. I think I'm getting crosstalk on the two radios. The problem never occurs when I take the picture from behind the camera unless I'm at 1/250 or higher.
