Default Lightning Issue

Hi all.

I am a new member of this forum. I was searching for ways of lightning up the image when i came across this. I own a Sony DSC H10 for about a year now. The problem is that I want to use other light sources to light up my photo other than my camera's flash. Does any body know of a good way to do this. If anybody does please let me know. Appreciate any help.

Thanks

Can you give us more detail on what you are trying to light? Indoor or outdoor? Day or night? Natural light or man made?

Hey windrider86.

Basically I am trying to duplicate this project (Cooking up a Photograph in Your Kitchen) with my H10 which does not have a hot-shoe so I can not use any external flash or wirelessly activated device which are available in the market. So I want a cheap and easy method of lightening up my project. Let me tell you that this will be an indoor project in which natural light won't be sufficient enough. And this project will be carried on during the day.

Hope that answers your questions. Help will be appreciated

Thanks

The Strobist website will get you there. Also if you have a used book store near by there are usually old photography books that go into detail on flood and spot lighting as these were the only types available in the 50's and before.
