Default High Speed Sync and Pocket Wizard Plus?

I thought I had seen a tutorial that said that this was a possible combo, but when trying today with two Canon HSS capable flash heads, each would go off, but neither flash was able to be HSS worthy. I was regulated to keeping the flash on camera, therefore, keeping me from being able open up the composition.

Are only the PW mini's capable of High Speed Sync? Did I do something wrong?

Thanks for your input.

The PocketWizard Plus and Plus IIs are not capable of high-speed sync or eTTL; they are manual-only. If you look at the hotshoe connection, only the center pin (sync) is used. Similarly, a PC cable can only communicate the sync signal. HSS and eTTL use the other four pins to communicate signals.

The only Pocketwizard TTL-capable triggers are the MiniTT1 (transmitter) and FlexTT5 (transceiver).
