Beginner strobist

Hi all, looking for a bit of advice, ive got a sony A300 and im wanting to try my hand at wireless strobist, i have a budget of £500 i have seen kits such as these..

...just wish we had such stockist in the UK, as that kit seems to have everything needed to get going, i could always ship to the UK but am not sure of extra taxes that would apply from customs and such (never bought from overseas).

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Since you have a Sony DSLR please know that the hot shoe for the flash is proprietary to Sony and you'll need a special adapter for it...the standard adapters won't fit.
