I have asked Simon Stafford.

I am right as mentioned in the above post, the AE/AF sign will NOT be visibly in the viewfinder.

But there is a solution with help from Simon Stafford, thank you.

After setting the mode as mentioned above in controls (f7) you shall halfpress the trigger and after you have got the green dot, then AT THE SAME TIME press the AE/AF-button, then the green dot will stay, and then you can slip the finger from the trigger/shutter, but you can not slip your finger from the AE-/AF-button, you have to press this button permanently.

(it is opposite with the other mode - here you can set it to HOLD)

Still nothing in the viewfinder - beside the green dot.

So the advantage is here as I see it: You can use AF and at the same time use hyperfocal distance - just recompose after getting the focus - normally you read everywhere, that you have to use manual focus when using hyperfocal distance.

Green dot = focus confirmation, which is essentially the same as an "AF lock" indicator. There's a separate "EL" for exposure lock, as you've already noticed. Things seem to be working as intended.

Yes it is, but I do not totally agree, because it would have been much more userfriendly and exactly as the other mode if there was a sign - as when you use the other mode, when the sign, the letters come up beside the green dot, and here you can hold it, untill you press again, the same way here would have been more userfriendly, and luckily that is the way things go generel.

In the other mode there is also a green dot, as here, but beside that also the letters, so you know you are on the right track.
