Thanks in advance for your advise.

I'm not an expert and I hope someone with more experience will come and comment. But I find the reflection almost destracting and at first I was wondering what it was. Would it be better in color maybe and more distinguishable?

You might get more comments if this was in the critique section.

I'm no expert either, but I also find the reflection distracting. I think a graduated neutral density filter used upside down from normal would have worked well here. In case you don't know what a graduated nueutral density filter is, it basically makes part of the lens expose less light than the other part of the lens, and is usually used for keeping skies from being over exposed.

Also, in my opinion I would have shot with a different framing to keep the bridge a little lower in the shot, just my opinion though.

The reflection, vignette and I think the contrast is a little deep. I think a better angle of the bridge would have been best. However it's all trial and error.

I hope you don't mind, I played with photo some. All I done was cropped out the bottom part, brightened it up a little and a touch of contrast so as not to look washed out. Done very mild sharpen, and then the fuzzy sides. I think this lightens the photo a little, and makes the bridge look more like the subject. I'm far from an expert though. Also if you dont want me playing with the photo I'll take it down as well.

By the way, I love covered bridges. I'm hoping to get out and take a few shots this fall onces the leaves start to change a bit. Hopefully classes wont be to demanding and let me have the chance.

For this shot were you in a boat or was there another bridge or point? It looks like your right in the middle of the river.

What's the story with covered bridges? They seem to be unique to the U.S. I don't think we have them in my native England. Are they more common in certain parts? Sorry for the questions, feel free to point me to a good website.

THanks for the edit and I see your point with the way you cropped it. I never even thought of cropping it. Thank you..

The shot was takin on land, DH and I were doing a pet adoption event and the bridge was directly behind us, so of course I had to take a picture.
