Default Lake Huron Febuary Sunset

I am a very new to photography have had my camera less than a month. I would appreciate any comments as to exposure and composition. The picture is as taken except I cropped to stop the water from running out of the picture

Hi Whit. Love this shot. beautiful. I am new too, almost a month and a half. Love it so far. I like the shot but feel that it would lokk way better without the trees in the foreground. I can almost picture myself standing there with a cup of hot coffee, enjoying the beauty.

HI. New to this too. I agree with jj. I love the shot but think it would be nicer without the trees.

While you're at it, try to lose that branch that's interfering with the sunset.. I like the way you have framed the picture, the foreground interest is good, but the branch going dead centre into the sun is distracting, and I keep looking at that, rather than taking the picture in as a whole..

Nice capture though..
