Default Firework

There are the settings I used to create this shot:

ISO 100
F16
BULB
Manual settings
Camera mounted on tripod
Cable release

What I did was use the cable release to open the shutter in "bulb" then close it once the firework had finished exploding.

Excellent work, candidrachel. Nice timing and exposure. I've been trying to get such a photo, but lacking a tripod, I have never been able to do this.

Nicely done.

A lot of tutorials say to shoot fireworks around f8-f11, but I'm with you...F16 all the way. It eliminates a lot of the smoke and haze from the photo, and fireworks look sharp. Great job!

Excellent work !! I tried my hand on a similar exercise last month and realized how tough it is to get it right !!
Couldn't get the sharpeness viewed here !
