Default Making rain

summer fruit

I was surprised how simple it was . . . A sprinkler, a bowl of fruit, shooting into the late afternoon sun, with a tripod, camera set at 1/60, F13 -- that's it. But, I must confess, the idea came from Brian Peterson and his book Understanding Shutter Speed.

Nice shot and setup, but I think fruits don't look prominent in the picture.

I think a little saturation works well, hmmm? Too much?

I like the "splash" that you see. I am going to try and copy and see what happens...Flash or no flash?

No flash. The idea is that the water is backlit by the sun (or something like that )

Oh, and I like the saturation.

if there's no sun use a flash to backlight and get the same effect.

Wet

Dahlia Rain

both taken using flash, the first because there was no sun and the second to fill in the shadows.
