Default Aplause

Hope someone else likes this as I was chuffed when I saw it.
This was taken with a canon 580 ex to the right side on manual 1/32 and some silver foil to theleft.Flash was triggered wireless and shutter on 10 second delay.
I had a black pice of velvet as a background " not sure if it was needed with my camera settings"
I also used soem black card either side of the flash to direct the light forwards these were held on with an elastic band.
I lent over the fabric with some flour and took many shots I liked this one best.

Well done, Gaz ! Very experimental.

I had to look up 'chuffed' in the Urban Dictionary: " chuffed "

"To be quite pleased with oneself in the manner of a child going potty unassisted."

I'll look for more of your work and hopefully learn a lot !

Never thought just assumed everyone knew the term.
Thanks for your positive comments.

Hi Gaz

Love this shot. Very good lighting and lovely and sharp. Nice idea - must try for some similar in the next few weeks.

Incidentally, can you help me to know where to get a length of black velvet suitable for shots like this?
