Default Splash of Light

The photo was taken at my apartment on the AV desk. All the ambient lights were switched off. A tea candle was lit and kept within the mesh. Nikon D60 with Sigma 28-70mm/2.8 lens was used on a tripod. 2 second exposure at f/5.6 and a few moments of bated breath resulted in this shot. i feel there is much to be done to further improve the photo, for example, the edge of the table ended the replections on the bottom left. the idea was to capture the design made by light filtering out of the mesh. Other than a minor crop using simple-to-use Microsoft Office Picture Manager, no post-production work was done.
