rikkersc, I used a spoon (I have neither turkey baster, nor eye drop thingy). It worked fairly well, but I don't get the 'splash' effect. I mainly am able to capture 'orbs' of water (which I like but would like to mix it up a bit).

Looks amazing! I love the splash in the second photo!

Looks great! Excellent shot. The pattern is mesmerizing!

I think it turned out very well! See, your hard work did pay off. Nice job!

I'm glad I could be a help to everyone, and I hope to keep seeing your results! They all look great so far!
Thanks Aperthetic! I'm gonna try some more tonight, this time I'm gonna try to use a margarita glass

Here's my first attempt at water drops using a blue cocktail glass. It took me absolutely ages to get some decent shots. Patience is definitely a must!

Thanks so much for posting this tutorial. I wouldn't have had a clue how to do these shots otherwise.

Thank you for the tutorial, i have always wondered how these kind of photos are made.

I made an attempt, and thought i would try it with some coins on the bottom of the water (wishing well style), and realised that the splashes are much bigger when you throw in a coin than a drop of water. I'm not quite happy with my attempts, but here is one of them:
