Default Water fun

Heres my attempts from this evening.

Not really geared up for the required lighting but these two crops are the best i could muster.

im quite pleased but would like to try in something other than a mixing bowl!

I'm a complete beginner so please bear with me!

I tried this and without the flash i don't have enough light. I don't have an external flash, and when I use the on-board it completely blows out the entire photo!

useing the flash is the easiest way to get enough light ,you will need to make a soft box for over your flash . Low theck ( 4 layers of paper towel ,large enough to compleatly cover your opened flash face , and clear tape to hold it in place works well .

Gah! I forgot to adjust my ISO (was shooting outside earlier) so the pics are a bit dark. It's easier to get nice droplets off the faucet than in the bowl. Here are results from my first attempt:
