Kjknits...
I LOVE your bowl... I love that the drops have the reflection of the bowl in each of them... the spots add a very cool effect! good work!

Also set the aperture to something like F11+ will help.

Cool! If you can get those drops in focus they'll be fantastic

Here is my contribution along this line:
Camera: Olympus C5060WZ
Shutter: 1/90
Aperture: F3.5
ISO: 200

What I was trying to do was take a reflection of the flag line on water droplets. After a series of shots, the result was the above. I used the camera's flash but I have one of my lamp light on. And oh, I used the dropper method, my pie dish, an American flag underneath and of course my tripod.

'Hope this follows the guidelines this time around...

Beautiful shot though, love the bowl
Liz, thanks! I'll try bumping up the shutter speed. Have been playing some more, but I need to get them out of the camera so I can see them more clearly.

Thanks for the tutorial! You make it sound much less intimidating than I had imagined.

Default Disco ball

Disco ball

I didn't use a patterned bowl for this but used a clear wine glass for the water then surrounded the base and stem of the glass with foil covered chocolate eggs that I'd been shooting earlier in the evening.
