Default Free backups for Flickr

Backupify is giving everyone who signs up before January 31st their service for free. Among the things that they back up is Flickr. Since the backup is automatic, and since you'd be getting the service free for life, I think it's something worth checking out.

This may be a dumb question but why back up online files?

Well, there's the potential for a Flickr account to be deleted (either maliciously, through a mistake, or because of a violation of the ToS) or the site to (god forbid) shut down. You might have the photos, but if the comments etc are important to you, then that would be a reason to back it up.

Yep, I'm an avid reader of the Flickr help forum and have heard of it happening for all kinds of reasons, so I figure better safe than sorry.
