Default Google Wave.

Hey everyone. So I got my invite on wednesday to Google Wave. I signed up back in May when they unveiled the project and were taking requests for invites.
I'm wondering who else has gotten an invite to Wave (if you put in for one/got nominated by a friend who got one) and what you think of it?
I figure it can be good for Photography business's (clubs and etc) (or any business in general, or team, or anything that requires a conversation including files and input from multiple people) because you can invite multiple people to "wave" with you, and people in the wave can drag/drop photo's and other files, and everyone invited into that "wave" (pretty much an email, but a lot less cluttered and a lot smoother and other things) can write feedback and such.

So, I guess this is a Google Wave discussion? If this is the wrong place to post this, just let me know since I figured General Chit Chat should be fine.
Post your thoughts on Google Wave

Have a good day.

I haven't gotten my invite yet (which assumes I'll get one at all, ha ha!) but do look forward to checking it out for the reasons you mentioned.

So, how is it? I signed up for an invite ages ago, but no luck. So, my biggest question because it shows sharing photos and stuff is... does it integrate with Picasa and/or Flickr or does it work in the same way you'd generally just do attachments?

Ah Im sorry!
I don't know if it integrates with Picasa or Flickr, I'll have to look at the Gadgets/Add-ons and such for Wave.
I know when you're typing you can just upload like an attachment. Hold on I'll post a pic of some google wave stuff.
Also, you can play the images in the wave as a slideshow. So say you did a wedding or some other eventwith a few other photographers, so you create a wave entitled Wedding. You invite the photographers and anybody else who needs to know about it and see the photos (maybe the bride/groom?) but there are so many photo's to click on. So, you click images at the bottom, and click "play as slideshow" and there you go.

EDIT: Here's a screenshot of editing a wave.

Very cool Thanks for the answer and the screen shot. It does look interesting so I'll be looking forward to when it opens up more or when they send out more invites. It'd be interesting if there were gadgets to integrate photosharing sites.

Yeah actually, in the settings tab there is a "wave" thing with info about extensions/gadgets. They have sudoku, a conference type thing that helps with selecting people to join a wave, map gadget, weather, video chat, but nothing with photo's. Of course you can send in a request to get SandBox access to Wave, if you have some developing skills.
I'll let you know if they add a flickr or picasa or any other photosharing websites gadgets.
