Default Then And Now

I was just sitting here looking thru photo's, comparing my newest to my oldest, and was amazed to see how much my photo's have changed, from OK to much better (not the greatest, but better than before). I'm sure we've all done this, and this is just a thread to do that. So, post one of your photo's from a long time ago, and compare it to one of your more recent photo's and tell about how your photography has changed through time. I'm sure a lot of you have been at it for a long time now, and maybe some of you are like me and have only been doing photography for a few months. Either way, this should be fun.
I'll start!

I went from this, back a few months ago using a Canon Point and Shoot:
Binocular Machine bottom railing, wood, and water in Liberty Park.

To this:
The Moth and the Butterfly

Mainly, because I've learned a lot, especially from you guys here at DPS, and just from flickr contacts and such.

Now, your turn.

CanonRebelz,

That is a good idea for a thread. If you'd like to see many more such examples, here's a thread in Share Your Shots you might enjoy:

And for any current photographs you're really really proud of, here's another:
