After I asked my SO to wait and not upload some unfinished pictures from a photo shoot to facebook she did anyways.
She also cropped the photos which changed the composition to be wrong and upped the saturation to unrealistic water color and uploaded bad quality resizing The people that see the photos will think thats how i edited the photos. Am I wrong to get mad at this? |

No, not at all. My sister would do the same thing if I let her anywhere near my camera card... My husband, on the other hand, knows better. The pictures are my thing.

Well, if you are just a photographer as a hobby, yeah, I might be irritated, but its not really that big of a deal, but if you do it as a source of income, then yeah, I would be pretty upset, as that could affect your business. Your possible future customers are going to be trying to look at any photo they can that they think was taken and edited by you to judge your ability.

i dont know what SO is.. but put this way.. my wife doesnt mess with my pics. we have that agreement that its my reputation, my art, my pictures.... "please talk to me before doing anything online, or showing anyone." i woud have a heart to heart, explain how important it is to you. i used the example of (she makes dresses and stuff) me making alterations to her dresses and sill saying its her design. IMHO its good you take it seriously.. but there are some relationships that should take priority over anythig else.

It is yours to decide. But consider this: If you get mad about this you will have double the work.
Once for getting mad and the another time to calm down and settle. I'd suggest you make your point loud and clear to avoid this to repeat in the future. Pick your battles wisely. Correct me if I'm wrong but facebook converts the uploaded pictures to low quality images no matter what. The crops and color edits are a real issue. Please, don't be mad....

![]() At the same time, now that I think about it... if the photos had a watermark, tag, or mention of my business, I'd be really upset. If they didn't, I'd probably only be a little upset. Of course, if everyone knows you're the photographer, you have every right. Does that make any sense? I'm rambling!

This. I'd suggest no matter how upset, calm down before trying to address the situation. Avoiding a fight should be a high priority with making it clear what you are upset over.

I would be, I never let any thing unedited go.
