Default Recovery software?

My aunt accidentally deleted a picture that she wants back...is there any free software that helps with retrievals like that?

Did you look in the Recycle Bin yet?

If she didn't use the computer too much and the area the file was kept wasn't written over yet she might be able to recover the file with Recuva.

Apparently there was a picture on the camera that her husband deleted before they transferred to the computer, so it's still on the memory card. Thanks for the info.

The only Free Software I know of is user designed - it's called "Back up, Back up, Back up."

my sandisk cards came with a retrieval utility so they do exist. unfortunately I don't know the name of one.
I google memory card retrieval software and a bunch came up so maybe that's a start for you.

emtab

I use photorescue. Great recovery program, but not freeware.

There's also a program called Recover 4 All Professional, but also not freeware.
