Default HTML code

I can't seem to use the HTML code for posting my images, from Flickr and photobucket.

Anything special I should be doing?

Vanilla Style

Works fine for me. Are you copy/pasting the entire bit of code that Flickr gives you?

When you want to post an image..

For flickr,

go to "all sizes" and choose 'medium'

and then right below it you will find the url for the image.. where it says "1. Copy and paste this HTML into your webpage:"

Then just click inside the box and make sure the entire code is highlighted, and just copy it.

Then wherever you want to post the image, just paste the code and the image should show up.. click 'preview post' to see if it worked before you submit reply

Hopefully this helped...

Here is your image right? It looks like it works, hopefully you get it figured out. If not keep asking and it will get sorted out so you can post.

HTML and bbcode are 2 separate things entirely.

To link to this photo on other websites you can either:

1. Copy and paste this HTML into your webpage:

HTML Code:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/loriputman/3844052523/" title="slipped by Lori Putman, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2453/3844052523_cab50ac7a9_m.jpg" width="240" height="192" alt="slipped" /></a>

2. Grab the photo's URL:

HTML Code:
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2453/3844052523_cab50ac7a9_m.jpg
From the page of the properly sized photo, at the bottom, select everything that is in box for #1 and use the Insert Link icon (globe w/chain link) and paste everything in there.

This is the result from selecting all of the code in #1 for my photo and pasting it into the insert link.
slipped

If you use the code from #2, then you would use the Insert Image icon in the forum, using this option does not link back to the photo on flickr.

Okay, I copied the code and went to a couple other forums I use. Of those, 2 showed me the image, the other 3 did not.

I checked and the HTML code was not on in the 3 that didn't show, the other 2 it was.

Here is what is on the bottom of this page....note, the HTML code says on yet it is not linked as the other 3. Could that be it?

This isn't a major problem, I can still post images, I'm just checking out other options within the forum as I am unable to get out and about due to health reasons.

BB code is On
Smilies are On
[IMG] code is On
HTML code is On

For the off chance that I messed up copying MY code, I used iputman's and I get the same not showing....

Max, I have to ask this...are you a happy person. I ask because a lot of your responses tend to come off as negative in tone.
