Default models,,,,,,

So this is my mini rant. I set up a date with this model to do another glam shoot, we agree on Aug 10 10 AM, cool. So I make all the arrangement for that date. I have several meetings with the Head lady at Marvel college about the hair make up wardrobe etc , etc. We get it all done and than I e-mail the model back to to tell her it's all set up,,, You guess right, She e-mails me back and says she can't make till 4PM !!!!!!! and is that a problem...She knew of this date for weeks. The big thing is it took a week and a half to get every body on board for that one date...

That is how we met, and I have met others that are on MM I will tell that most are,,,,,,.But this one I thought she was a little more Professional than that, or least considerate.

wow. I'd tell her to forget the whole thing if she can't commit. So unprofessional. What's the point on advertising on there if you aren't going to take it seriously.

Why I want this to work is that the person in charge at Marvel college in Calgary likes my work, and if she can get her boss to agree they will use me when they what to do a shoot. And those shoots are some good coin. So that why I'm just a little pi...., ticked off.

Dude the shoot is like 3 weeks away. Just ask her if she can make the 10am shoot time since that is the time that all the other people have free. If not then you have plenty of time to schedule another model. It is not flaking when you have 3 weeks notice. Image how pissed you would be if she told you the day before or the day of the shoot or worse just didn't show at all with out saying anything.

Is this a paid shoot or a TF?

I guess my main point is that if I agree to do a shoot on a certain date and the person gets every thing set up ,I can't then say hey I can't make it. I know things happen, so if I know the date it was planed for and if any things happened I would call the person to let them know right away. This shoot the two models will get prints for their portfolio.

So it is a TF shoot and one of the models e-mailed you 3 weeks in advance to let you know that she will not be able to make the 10am time for the shoot. Honestly I would be very happy that I got 3 weeks notice. Things happen, perhaps she had something come up at work or perhaps there was a paying job that happened to fall on the same day during the same period of time.

While I understand that she made a commitment for the TF shoot and you feel she should honor that commitment no matter what, in the current state of the global economy I would totally understand if someone chose to make some money instead of doing a TF shoot. Especially since it was not a last minute cancellation.

So now you have a choice. Either call her unprofessional and never work with her again. Or just let her know that the shoot time is fixed and you can't change it and that you will be looking for another model for the shoot but will keep her in mind for any future projects.

Yes, I'm not a complete ass, I did offer to do the shoot on a different day, and she said yes. Now I have to find out if every body can make the change as well... And 3 weeks may seam like a long time, there are 8 other people ( hair, make up, wardrobe, etc.) I have to think about. If was just her and I it would be a non issue.

Now that seems like a lot more work than I would be willing to do. It seems like replacing a model would be a lot easier than rescheduling 8 people. The model must be something really special to go through all that trouble.
